Work begins on The Walled Garden in winter

Work has now begun on clearing the overgrown Walled Garden at Colney Hall for The Children's Garden.

There is a huge amount to be cleared away and prepared in readiness for Spring planting.

Ed Kenyon (TCG Forest School Leader and Founder) says: "It's the perfect time to be working on such a huge garden site, as there is so little growth at the moment.

"We are clearing away brambles and ivy, moss and weeds before turning over the soil in preparation for sowing a variety of wild flowers and plants.

We are also giving the fruit trees some much-needed TLC and clearing an area for the children's allotments. We will post more pictures as we progress!"
