TCG's fabulous festival!

We wanted to bring the wider TCG community together with an event which brought to life the very best of our environment, ethos and creativity. On Saturday August 19th this became reality with a wonderful day of fun, food, games, art, excitement and much more.

Our team, in collaboration with parents and other partners, created a true festival feeling which was enjoyed by everyone who came - current families with children and grandparents or friends; previous families who came back to experience the magic of TCG at Colney Hall once again and prospective families who were sampling TCG for the first time.

There was so much for everyone to do:

Art & Sound Trail in the woods; outdoor cinema in the large laurel bushes; popcorn cooked over an open fire by our Forest School Leader; Mindfulness; Yoga, Story-telling; music & dancing; the wonderful Magic Acorns on our stage who performed for and with the children; International Food Corner; Street Food; amazing festival games built by our wonderful gardener Carl including a Coconut Shy and Bat-the-Rat; zip wire; woodland walks; face-painting; a DJ and so much more.

This event was the TCG ethos brought to life and it was a pleasure to host the hundreds of people who came and enjoyed it with us. it was inspired by our Manager Nicky and Pedagogical Lead Paula visiting the Children's Centres in Reggio-Emilia, Italy, where early years' education is truly embedded within the community.
