TCG & Corona Virus

We proudly remained open for the children of key workers throughout the lockdown period. While we were very sorry not to be able to have many of our families during April and May, we welcomed some children from new key worker families also.
We had a small, yet extremely dedicated team of staff working throughout the crisis and they gave the children a truly magical experience. This group of children, from babies to pre-schoolers, all came together in our Walled Garden and stayed together as a mixed age-group. The interactions between the ages were a delight to see; with the older ones looking out for the younger ones and our youngest boldly learning from the older children and taking on challenges they would not normally have come across. The good weather certainly helped and a great deal of time was spent in the woods or the grassy parkland at the front of the Colney estate.
Now we are open to our other families once again and it is a pleasure to have more of our children returning. We have made certain changes to how we operate, based on the latest Government guidance - primarily increased hygiene, keeping certain groups separate and minimising adults in the nursery. Please go to our TCG Covid -19 procedurespolicy.pdf and read our policies and risk assessments to familiarise yourselves with our new ways of working. This will be updated as Government guidance changes.
The beauty of having 4 acres of woodland, and access to the River Yare and its meadows is that our children can spend a great deal of time outside in the fresh air!
